Attaching Executable Files
If you have ever tried to attach an executable file when composing an e-mail using Gmail then you have probably seen an error message similar to the one below: There is a simple workaround for this problem. You just compress your executable file into an archive such as zip file, rar file or tar.gz file and then you will be allowed to send the archived version of the executable in your Gmail e-mails.
If you are unfamiliar on how-to compress files into archives on your computer the following information maybe be of use to you. To compress executables into archives on Windows: Locate the file or folder that you want to compress. Right-click the file or folder, then hover over to Send To, and then click Compressed (zipped) Folder. To compress executables into archives on Macintosh: First locate the executable file that you want to compress. Then you simply right click on the executable and then select Compress.
